Our Take

1988 Rolex Datejust Ref. 16234, R-serial, featuring a classic silver dial with applied baton hour markers, tritium hands and hour plots, and an outer Roman numeral minute track. Its timeless 36mm stainless-steel case is complemented by an 18K white-gold fluted bezel and stainless-steel Jubilee bracelet.

The watch is presented in good pre-owned condition with wear consistent with its age. The bracelet retains approximately 80% of its original tightness, with some stretch present. The watch was recently fitted with new gaskets throughout, and its water resistance is guaranteed. Service history is otherwise unknown; however, it is currently running and keeping time within COSC specifications.
