Our Take

A transitional Explorer featuring a tritinova dial, produced for a short period in the late 1990s. Housed in a 36mm stainless steel case, this reference embodies classic Explorer DNA with a clean, timeless design. Powered by the automatic Caliber 3000 movement and offering exceptional wearability, it’s a must-have for collectors looking for a true piece of Rolex history.

The recently polished case and bracelet are in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. Though marked "Tritium," the dial and hands are actually Luminova and glow as such. There is a very small flea bite on the crystal at 3 o'clock. The watch is pressure-tested and guaranteed waterproof. It runs within COSC specs between +1 and +2 seconds/day with amplitude between 264° and 283°. Includes inner/outer box and original 1998 papers.
